RESNET Practical Simulation Exam Prep
This training prepares you for the RESNET Practical Simulation Exam for Raters and RFI's. The instruction here will help you develop the skills needed to pass this test. This training will offer some practical knowledge of the RESNET Standards and the procedures for evaluating minimum rated features. The virtual training is like conducting the field work where you go on-site and test/inspect/process information for an energy rating. We'll use a customized field data collection form in the interface, the clipboard. And we'll cover the clipboard, procedures, math, tools, and performance test equipment skills that you need for these virtual energy ratings.
Objectives:
- Become familiar with the RESNET Training and Exam Portal Interface
- Obtain geometry skills and knowledge of terminology needed to understand the measurements and calculations required
- Understand nuances of performance testing in the simulation tool as well as tips for using the blower door and duct tester in real life
- Review the schematics provided for lighting, plumbing, and distribution system data gathering
- Understand the exam process and requirements and gain confidence in exam taking capabilities

Hello! Welcome to the Practical Simulation Training. This training prepares you for the Practical Simulation Exam for Raters and RFI's, but the instruction here will provide more than the skills to pass this test. The virtual training is much like conducting probationary ratings, where you go on-site and test/inspect/process information for an energy rating in accord with RESNET Standards. In that spirit we'll use a field data form and a checklist to be sure we have all the information documented. And we'll cover the math, procedures, and equipment look-up skills that you need for energy ratings. When you finish this course you will have all the tools and training needed to pass the QA review, which is the report and grade you receive on the Practical Simulation Test. | |
