RESNET Sampling Standard

CEUs: 0.4 ICC | RESNET: 4 PDUs

RESNET has updated and completely reworked the Sampling Standard. This new standard is used by programs such as HERS Index generation and the ENERGY STAR Multifamily New Construction program. This course provides details about the new standard, how to qualify projects to begin sampling, how to calculate the Sampling Verification Rate, Sampling Energy Models, and required sampling documentation. We also cover what happens if there are failures during the sampling process and the flexibility to add, remove, and modify Sampled Features. This course is valuable for HERS Raters, HERS Modelers, Rating Field Inspectors, Rating QA Providers, Quality Assurance Designees, and anyone with a program that allows for sampling to be used during verification of energy efficiency features.

Course Objectives

  • Understand the new RESNET protocol and standards
  • Learn to calculate sample sets with updated requirements
  • Learn how to generate and interpret sampling reports
  • Distinguish between new and old sampling standards
  • Identify and evaluate which items are eligible for sampling

   Registration Fee: $160.00

Course Outline

Module 1 Chapter 6 The Sampling Standard

Welcome to the Sampling Standard, RESNET Chapter 6.

Sampling is now restricted to just Multifamily Buildings, single-family residences, duplexes and townhomes are not allowed to utilize the Sampling Standard.  Sampling is pass/fail of Sampled Features now, rather than pass/fail of dwelling units. There is a lot to learn.
