This training prepares you for the RESNET Practical Simulation Exam for Raters and RFI's. The instruction here will help you develop the skills needed to pass this test. This training will offer some practical knowledge of the RESNET Standards and the procedures for evaluating minimum rated features. The virtual training is like conducting the field work where you go on-site and test/inspect/process information for an energy rating. We'll use a customized field data collection form in the interface, the clipboard. And we'll cover the clipboard, procedures, math, tools, and performance test equipment skills that you need for these virtual energy ratings.

Objectives:

• Become familiar with the RESNET Training and Exam Portal Interface
• Obtain geometry skills and knowledge of terminology needed to understand the measurements and calculations required
• Understand nuances of performance testing in the simulation tool as well as tips for using the blower door and duct tester in real life
• Review the schematics provided for lighting, plumbing, and distribution system data gathering
• Understand the exam process and requirements and gain confidence in exam taking capabilities
