The EnergySmart Contractor and Teams Certification Programs are administered by the EnergySmart Institute. This innovative program was introduced at the 2010 RESNET Conference and was later rolled out under two initiative names by RESNET: Certified EnergySmart Builders Program and the Certified EnergySmart Contractor and Teams Programs.
The Builders program is aimed at new construction and recognizes Builders who construct advanced residences. The Contractor and Teams Programs provide a quality assurance component to upgrading the existing residential marketplace.
